hhmmm..... atlist 512MB memory but i prefer 1gig..
256 video card....
at list 80gb hard drive...
3.0 gHz of 2.5 up for core 2 duo ...
and gud cooling system...

i dont know much about pc but i can share what i have in my workstation in the office and its working pretty good too. I open photoshop cs3, flash cs3, illustrator cs3 and dreamweaver cs3 at the same time + firefox and media player.
I got dell.

processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 - 2.50GHz 12MB 350w something (sorry not sure)
OP- XP prof
Video- Dual 512MB PCIe x16 nVidia Quadro FX1700
memory- 2 x 2gb ddr2 sdram
hardrive - 2 80 gb + my 40gb external + cd/dvd disk for backups (i do web and graphics)
monitor - 24 inch sony (prefer 17-19 inch)

8800 GT is the so called "Bang for the Buck" videocard. as low as 7k na lang ito sa Gilmore.
you will never go wrong on choosing this.

well, kung ako ang tatanungin, im planning to buy a set with these specs:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz 8mb 1066Mhz (the cheapest quad core at gilmore recently, and it may still reduce its price a year from now or maybe months)
Video: GeForce 8800 GT (I agree with necrolyte, but im really planning to go for this...)
Memory: 4 x 1GB DDR2
HDD: Samsung 400gb SATA 3Gb/s

together with a good and affordable water cooled casing and a 17" Viewsonic widescreen LCD
