Some of my tips
Tip: Cleaning LCD Monitors
Use a solution of diluted isopropyl alcohol, no more than a 50% solution and mix it with water.
Use a very soft cloth, Don't use paper towels or anything more abrasive. Absolutely do NOT use anything with ammonia in it will melt the plastic surface.
Tip: Cleaning the insides of your PC
Use paint brush (make sure its a non-static nylon bristle) a vacuum cleaner, brush off the dust buildup. A can of compressed air is also useful for sections that needs cleaning but cant reach by brushing.
Tip: Cleaning the CD-ROM's Lens
You can buy an inexpensive CD lens cleaner on any computer shop, doing so once a week will prevent build-up of dust, don't wait for the CD-ROM to fail before cleaning it, preventive maintenance is still the best way.
Tip:Contact cleaner for PCB slot
You can use a pencil eraser to remove dirt or grind on the contacts made from copper or gold, Avoid using any alcohol or eraser on a carbon type contact since you will permanently erase it.
Tip: Clean the Fan!
You can use a slightly damp cloth mixed with dish soap, by doing so you'll have an optimal flow of air for removing heat and lower down the noise generated by the fan.
i'd rather be an open sinner than a false saint..
