does it really need to be a php? if it is, what should be the database? i have a ready to use project but it's in asp.net and ms sql server.

oh, thats pretty cool, I used to make a guestbook out of php,mysql and apache..making a blog would be a little difficult if you would pattern it to something like those popular bloggers, but I can help you find codes for it, if you still need it...just message me..

hey chillyouout,
this is the simplest code i saw in google - http://www.phpbuilder.com/columns/besserer20050729.php3 . you can give this a shot but set up first your dev environment like PHP Server (Apache), SQL Server(MySQL), notepad++ or dreamweaver for faster coding and some advance mozilla firefox add on like web developer, ie tab and firebug. it comes in handy. if you have some questions just pm me and will help you out as soon as i have time. peace out.
